Weber connect - the best wireless thermometer on the market

Ever since moving into my new place, I have been obsessed with my Weber BBQ grill. Grilling is something that seems very primal but scientific and all with a twist of art. Whilst it is easy to be just “OK” at BBQ’ing it is really hard to get really good (my two failed brisket attempts are a witness to that).
The one annoying thing about grilling is that it takes you away from talking to your friends as you are so worried about meat burning. Now you need now worry any longer!
The Weber Connect (cost ~$100) is going to change your grilling game forever. Connect can be used on any grill, not just Weber. It is a wifi-enabled thermometer that connects to an app on your phone.
It has two main sensors (1) ambient temperature sensor (2) meat sensor. For the ambient temperature sensor you just put this inside the top shelf of the grill and unsurprisingly it told me that my analogue gauge on the grill itself was about 10F off the mark. The other sensor goes inside the meat.
On the app, you just select what you are cooking and set it to go. It will then give you an estimated cooking time and even tell you when to flip the meat! This peace of mind lets you sit back with your guests and enjoy the evening.
The negative is that the app is pretty basic, there aren’t enough choices of meats or thicknesses for my liking but it’s good enough for most things. Also, they only include one meat probe, would suggest you buy two more as you find yourself adding them to all the meat you have on the bbq at the time.
Cheap, easy to use and makes you look like a BBQ rockstar. What is not to like?
